We were shopping at a local party store recently, when WHK and his buddy found these funny masks. Though they do not reflect our political ties--they made for a pretty fun photo-op.

Sick Sunday
A stomach bug hit WHK and boy was it ugly. Here he is passed out on his bean bag between all of the action. Poor baby!
Fabulous February Friday
WHK's first grade presented the parents with a "Reading Restaurant" and gave a reading of Jan Brett's, The Hat. WHK eagerly anticipated this special day for weeks. The service at the restaurant was an A+ and the reading of the story was super.

The other day I had to take a photo of WHK for a school project. It is nothing special but I feel it does a pretty good job of capturing "6 1/2 year-old boy."

Gingerbread House: Before & After
Keeping in our annual tradition, we built our Christmas gingerbread house during the break. Our theme was red, white and blue. I think it turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. We enjoyed it all through the holidays and Molly (the dog) enjoyed it, too. Another tradition is the destroying of the gingerbread house--I think WHK enjoys this process more than the creating! WHK, being a planner, has already announced his theme for next year--a gingerbread church.
